JESANI® Shower Channel installation – Wall Mounted

CONCRETE FLOOR/SUSPENDED CONCRETE FLOOR

Note:  Please check the Facts sheet before the purchasing and installation processes.

  1. Locate position of where channel will be placed on floor slab and ensure Plumber/Drainlayer situates waste pipe accordingly.
  2. Position boxing to ensure area of shower can be constructed with correct levels later. Be careful not to damage damp-proofing.
  3. Position Jesani® Shower Channel into the area, connecting with the waste pipe.  Use concrete to pack around Channel to sit firmly in position.  Allow concrete to dry for a minimum of 12 hours.
  4. Construct the Shower base with concrete to ensure the levels fall correctly to the Jesani® Shower Channel.
  5. Once the concrete has dried, use nylon plugs and screws to hold the channel in place using the predrilled holes.
  6. Line walls with correct Villa Board lining ensuring a minimum of 20mm overlay onto upstand flange.
  7. Waterproof floor and walls to completely cover the flanges of the Channel. 
    Note:  It is optional to waterproof into the trough, however ensure the waste is not covered.
  8. Install Tiles/Flooring accordingly.
  9. Insert Grill/Grate.

 

JESANI® Shower Channel installation – Centre Channel

Concrete Floor/Suspended Concrete Floor

  1. Locate position of where channel will be placed on floor slab and ensure Plumber/Drainlayer situates waste pipe accordingly.
  2. Position boxing to ensure area of shower can be constructed with correct levels later. Be careful not to damage damp-proofing.
  3. Position Jesani® Shower Channel into the area, connecting with the waste pipe.  Use concrete to pack around Channel to sit firmly in position.  Allow concrete to dry for a minimum of 12 hours.
  4. Construct the Shower base with concrete to ensure the levels fall correctly to the Jesani® Shower Channel from both sides.
  5. Once the concrete has dried, use the nylon plugs and screws to hold the channel in place using the predrilled holes.
  6. Waterproof floor to completely cover both flanges of the Channel.  
    Note:  It is optional to waterproof into the trough, however ensure the waste is not covered.
  7. Install Tiles/Flooring accordingly.
  8. Insert Grill/Grate.

 

JESANI® Shower Channel Installation – Wall Mount

Timber Substrate Flooring

Note:  Please check the Facts sheet before the purchasing and installation processes.

  1. Measure trough of channel and cut timber flooring to allow trough to hang in the slot and the flange to sit on top of floor.
  2. Screw channel into studs in wall and also into timber flooring, utilising the pre drilled holes on the flanges.  The channel is now fully supported.
  3. Construct the correct fall to the channel using the timber flooring and fillets.
  4. Line walls with correct Villa Board lining ensuring a minimum of 20mm overlay onto upstand flange.
  5. Line shower floor with tile and slat underlay, ensuring underlay covers a minimum of 20mm over the floor flange.  It is optional to take the underlay to sit flush over the full flange, but not inside the trough.  Silicon underneath tile and slat underlay.
  6. Waterproof floor and walls to completely cover the flanges of the Channel.

  7. Install Tiles/Flooring accordingly.
  8. Insert Grate/Grill.

 

JESANI® Shower Channel Installation – Centre Channel

Timber Substrate Flooring

  1. Measure trough of channel and cut timber flooring to allow the trough to hang in slot and the flanges to sit flush on top of floor.
  2. Screw channel into timber flooring, utilising the pre drilled holes on either side flanges.  The channel is now fully supported.
  3. Create the correct fall to the channel using the timber flooring and fillets.
  4. Line shower floor with Tile and Slate underlay, ensuring underlay covers a minimum of 20mm over the flanges.  It is optional to take the underlay to sit flush over the full flanges, but not inside trough.  Silicon underneath tile and slat underlay.
  5. Waterproof floor to completely cover both flanges of the Channel. 
    Note:  It is optional to waterproof into the trough, however ensure the waste is not covered.
  6. Install Tiles/Flooring accordingly.
  7. Insert Grate/Grill.
